Organic.Edunet aims to facilitate access, usage and exploitation of digital educational content related to Organic Agriculture (OA) and Agroecology. It will deploy a multilingual online federation of learning repositories, populated with quality content from various content producers. In addition, it will deploy a multilingual online environment (the Organic.Edunet Web portal) that will facilitate end-users’ search, retrieval, access and use of the content in the learning repositories.
The project will study educational scenarios that introduce the use of the Organic.Edunet portal and content to support teaching of topics related to OA and Agroecology in two cases of formal educational systems, i.e., high-schools and agricultural universities. Furthermore, it will evaluate project results in the context of pilot demonstrators in pilot educational institutions, as well as through open validation events where external interested stakeholders will be invited.
Organic.Edunet focuses on achieving interoperability between the digital collections of OA and Agroecology content that producers in various EU countries have developed, as well as facilitating publication, access, and use of this content in multilingual learning contexts through a single European reference point. In this way, digital content that can be used to educate European Youth about the benefits of OA and Agroecology, will become easily accessible, usable and exploitable.Organic.Edunet Web Site |

The main objectives of the Organic.Edunet project are the following:- To support stakeholders producing content about Organic Agriculture (OA) and Agroecology to publish it in an online federation of learning repositories, described according to multilingual, standard-complying metadata.
- To deploy a multilingual online environment (the Organic.Edunet Web portal) that will facilitate end-users’ search, retrieval, access and use of the content in the learning repositories.
- To study educational scenarios that will introduce the use of the Organic.Edunet Web portal and the content in the repositories, in order to support teaching of the relevant topics, in high-schools and agricultural universities.
- To evaluate project results in the context of both focused pilot trials and open validation events which will take place in various European schools and universities.
- To create organisational structures that will reinforce the cooperation of stakeholders in this particular content area and will support the sustainability of project results.

The general approach of Organic.Edunet is organised around seven main working activities:
- The identification of the requirements that will affect the introduction of OA and Agroecology educational content in the formal educational systems of the participating educational institutions (corresponds to WP2: Requirements Analysis).
- The definition of the pedagogical requirements related to the introduction of the educational content in the educational programs of the targeted users, and the design of appropriate educational scenarios (corresponds to WP3: Educational Design).
- The adaptation and specialization of state-of-art and standard-complying technologies that are already successfully implemented and operating in other application areas by the project’s technical partners, in order to appropriately deploy them for the needs of Organic.Edunet (corresponds to WP5: Technical Specification & System Deployment).
- The engagement of the provided tools by content providers, in order to create the Organic.Edunet learning repositories and to populate them with content related to OA and Agroecology (corresponds to WP4: Content Population).
- The definition of the quality requirements of the project, as well as the design and implementation of the pilot evaluation, and validation activities to be performed within the targeted user organisations (corresponds to WP6: Quality Assurance & Pilot Evaluation).
- The launch of dissemination and exploitation actions (corresponds to WP7: Dissemination & Exploitation).
- The organisation, implementation and orchestration of the project activities, the definition of quality indicators to monitor and assess project outcomes, and the foresee of risk management procedures for ensuring proper implementation of the project (corresponds to WP1: Management & Coordination).
