EduTubePlus publishes its Dissemination Plan

( 03/12/2008 )
This document details the EduTubePlus project Dissemination Plan, which will be considered for the rest of the project in order to maximize the project’s impact on its target user groups.
EduTubePlus project
The EduTubePlus dissemination plan consists of a set of actions including: the identification of target user groups and opportunities, the definition of dissemination channels for reaching the target audience, the definition of the dissemination instruments and the definition of the dissemination material to be produced.

This information will serve as a guideline for the project Dissemination Activities and it will be continuously revised and updated throughout the whole project duration (as new target groups and opportunities may arise, etc.).

The dissemination activities of the EduTubePlus project aim a) to create awareness of the project among school and teacher communities, policy makers (e.g. European ministries of Education), educational video providers & TV channels, providers of Internet‐based services for schools, b) to create a single, unified brand for EduTubePlus, to identify potential associates as content providers, c) to identify potential “subscribers” of the EduTubePlus e‐service at a European level, d) to attract “large players” in the field to invest in the whole EduTubePlus e‐service and e) to get valuable feedback from external content providers and end users.

Four (4) main categories of targeted users have been identified:
1. School Communities, pedagogical experts & educators, European Education public authorities and Policy makers)
2. Educational TV and video market & market of internet based services for schools
3. Software companies, educational technology market & the LCMS market
4. Sponsors & Financers

The Dissemination plan provides:
• a list of channels at European and National level for each targeted user group (Public Authorities, Organisations & Policy makers, User Communities & portals, relevant projects, Networks and Activities and special interest groups, etc.)
• a list of Dissemination Instruments (EduTubePlus web site, mailing lists, articles in e‐magazines, newsletters and press releases, participation in conferences, workshops and fairs, organisation of workshops & Seminars and publications to scientific papers)
• a description of the dissemination material to be produced (internet‐based or paper‐based material).

All EduTubePlus project partners contributed to the development of the above lists, which will be further enhanced or adapted during the project. The Dissemination plan will be implemented in two phases. A process for managing and monitoring the activities and assuring quality of the produced material has been defined as well.
